독수리 문양은 소방 및 재난 관련 조직들에서 많이 사용되는 문양으로 경계 및 감시 그리고 준비 및 각오를 뜻합니다. 긴급대응기술정책연구센터도 이러한 정신을 이어받겠다는 의미로 이러한 문양을 따왔습니다.
가운데에 있는 방패 문양은 동아대학교 로고로 동아대학교 대학원 재난관리학과의 소속을 항상 품고 있다는 의미를 담고 있습니다.
