동아대학교 긴급대응기술·정책연구센터는 대학 내 의과대학 교수(예방의학 및 응급의료 등)와 재난관리 교수 등이 참여하여 2018년 9월에 설립된 곳입니다. 현재 다양한 비상 또는 긴급(emergency) 대응 상황에 노출되는 정부, 지방정부, 공공기관, 그리고 기업을 대상으로 재난안전 관련 정책 및 R&D 기술 분야 연구에 기여하고자 노력하고 있습니다.

향후 재난안전 분야에서 대표성을 지니고, 경쟁력을 갖춘 싱크탱크(Think-tank)로 자리매김하기 위해, 국내외 싱크탱크 평가에서 주요 지표인 영향력, 연구의 질, 연구역량 등에서 성과목표를 분명하게 수립하여 성과관리 체계를 구축하고 운영하고자 합니다.

우선 우리 센터가 국내외 네트워크를 확장하고, 둘째, 연구센터 내의 연구원들의 빅데이터 근거 기반의 분석 역량을 강화하고자 합니다. 마지막으로 과학적으로 접근할 수 있는 재난 프로파일링 분석 체계를 정립하여, 재난원인을 근본적으로 찾아내어 선제적 처방을 제언할 수 있는 재난 프로파일러를 양성하고자 합니다. 부산 지역의 생활안전 및 산업재해 영역부터 국가 수준의 대규모 재난 영역에 이르기까지 모든 재해·재난 유형에 대응하기 위한, 기초 연구와 국내외 사례 수집, 그리고 실무에 도움이 되는 세계적인 재난안전 연구센터로 발돋움하는 것이 목표입니다.

The Dong-A University Emergency Response Technology Policy Research Center was established in September 2018 with the participation of professors from the university's medical school (including preventive and emergency medicine) and disaster management. Currently, the center strives to contribute to research in the areas of disaster safety-related policies and R&D technologies for governments, local governments, public institutions, and companies exposed to various emergency or urgent response situations.

In order to establish ourselves as a representative and competitive think-tank in the field of disaster safety in the future, we will establish and operate a performance management system by clearly establishing performance targets in terms of impact, research quality, and research capabilities, which are key indicators in domestic and international think-tank evaluations.

First, we want to expand our domestic and international networks, and second, we want to strengthen the big data evidence-based analysis capabilities of researchers within the center. Finally, we want to establish a scientifically accessible disaster profiling analysis system and train disaster profilers who can fundamentally find the causes of disasters and propose preemptive prescriptions.

The goal is to become a world-class disaster safety research center that helps in basic research, domestic and international case collection, and practice to respond to all types of disasters and catastrophes, ranging from life safety and industrial accidents in the Busan area to large-scale disasters at the national level.
